Tuesday 6th February is Safer Internet Day (SID)

Tuesday 6th February is Safer Internet Day (SID) across the whole of the UK.  It is a day to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology, especially among children and young people.

As a school we are want to encourage everyone to be aware how to better use the internet by being kind and respectful to others on line, by protecting their on line reputations (and those of others), and by seeking out positive opportunities to create, engage and share online.

We recognise that you as parents and carers play a crucial role in empowering and supporting children to use technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.  We hope that you find these websites useful in promoting safe on-line practise at home.  At school this week pupils will receive a whole school assembly and be involved in tutor activities promoting e-safety.  E-safety is high on our agenda at school and we will be continually addressing the subject throughout the year as a whole school strategy.

Christmas Showcase

On Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th December we held our Christmas Showcase in the hall.  With 75 pupils involved and a full house both evenings, the pressure was on to be amazing. The pupils were certainly that!  Over the course of two days, they spent a lot of time cooped up in the hall practising and practising to make sure they could be the best they could possibly be all in the hope that they would impress all the family members who had bought tickets to come and see them perform. Their behaviour during this was fabulous and their work ethic could not be faulted. During the shows they waited patiently backstage before coming out and fully embracing their performance, it was so lovely to see all the proud family members with huge smiles on their faces seeing what the pupils had achieved.  The Creative Arts team were hugely proud of everyone who performed and incredibly grateful to the rest of the staff at school who supported and helped throughout!

Coffee Afternoon Drop In

Coffee Afternoon information

Oakridge Hall, 24th November 2017 at 1:30pm-2:30pm

We would like to invite parents and carers of Dove House to our first coffee afternoon event. This is the opportunity for parents, grandparents and carers alike to drop in and socialise with some of the Dove House team. The aim of the event is to create a parent/school network of support, friendship and advice. Come along and join us in a relaxed environment for coffee, cake and biscuits and to have a chat. This is your opportunity to share ideas and tips, offer advice, let us know what you need or to simply come for the cake. We look forward to seeing you there.

Please see attached leaflet for more information.
