Take me back to Governance

What is Pupil Premium?

The Government identified a gap between the attainment of children receiving free school meals (and those in care) with their peers. The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to schools so that they can support these pupils to close the attainment gap between them. The Pupil Premium was paid at a rate of £935 per eligible child in 2016-17. (Free School Meals)

Pupils at Dove House do not experience an attainment gap due to the individualised teaching and learning styles at the school ensuring that every pupil, regardless of their background, is able to reach their full potential.  Therefore, the school invested this additional funding in whole school activities, but including a significant number of those pupils eligible for Pupil Premium.

2016-17 Pupil Premium Funding    £64,128

This table outlines where the school has invested this money in 2016-17 and describes the benefits to the pupils.
